Four Nails Clothing is a locally owned and operated business that specializes in custom made clothing that ships anywhere in the US. I met Thomas Brooks, owner and operator, when looking for a costume designer for a series of short films in 2013, and after getting to know Thomas I was excited when he asked if I could arrange a fashion shoot. After chatting on the phone we decided to focus on promotional shots of his clothing line as well as have them be modeled. Once the day arrived we set out for a full evening of shooting; first up we decided to spend sometime focusing on a our product shots before the model arrived. This consisted of various close ups on logos, designs and patterns; then several images that would capture several of his newest creations at once.
The second part of the shoot centered around our modeling portion of the fashion shoot with Jamie Costa. Jamie is a professional actor from Charleston, SC and brought a great deal of excitement and life to the shoot and stayed with us until the light dimmed. With various costume changes needed for this shoot we decided to start off inside in the studio, that way we could fall into a steady rhythm while keeping all our materials close by; but I think its our external shots that that really show off Thomas’ work the best. There is something special about stepping outside of a studio environment and letting nature present a canvas that you can work with.
